Welcome to the second week of Fat Free Friday hosted by myself here at Many Sleepless Nights, Sara at Here Comes the Sun & Allie at I was a Fat Bride! We have teamed up to bring you a weight-loss inspired blog hop! We have all had very different journeys with weight loss & we hope to inspire & motivate you each week. We also know that you have your own stories of inspiration. We want to hear your stories as well! Your loss, your gain, your goals, your rewards, everything! We want this to be a place where any other blogger that is sharing our weight-loss journey can link up their blog and share their story.
We don’t want you to feel restricted by tons of rigid rules, but we would like for you to follow as many other bloggers in the hop as you would like and if you feel motivated or inspired or meet a kindred spirit in your mutual love of chocolate cake, leave a meaningful comment on their weight-loss post! Having a good support system is such an important part of the weight-loss journey and we hope that this blog hop is a place that you will find that!
Okay, so last week I had gained a few pounds, thankyouverymuch Thanksgiving dinner(s). This week I was afraid I was going to have a repeat. Last Saturday, we had Greg’s parents over to have one final Thanksgiving feast & this was our first time hosting a family meal. I made everything except the green bean casserole (brought by Greg’s momma) & honestly? I was so tired by the time it was dinnertime that I didn’t eat as much as I normally would have! However, the food was absolutely delicious (if I do say so myself) and there were so many leftovers, I barely had to cook this week!
Another thing that I did this week was chug water. All day. Every day. Yesterday I drank close to a gallon of it. Even though I had to pee like Seabiscuit, I stuck it out. Every time I would get “hungry”, I would gulp down a big glass of water and wait 15 minutes. If I was still hungry, I would have a little snack. If not, yay!
The third thing that I did this week that seemed to help was I read.
I read lots of weight-loss blogs & articles & perused Weight Watchers facebook page & their homepage, etc. Nothing motivates me more than reading about others’ success with weight-loss and each time I would read about an accomplishment, I would be like, “Hell yeah! I can totally do this!”
I suppose the real question is: How did I do this week?
As of last Friday, I was 175.0.
And this week?
. . . . . . . . .
::pause for dramatic build-up::
. . . . . . . .
I lost 2.2 pounds this week which was more than double my goal!
This most recent weight loss also brings my grand total back down to -19.7 lbs!
I’m going to keep a small goal for myself again this week of 1 pound. Hopefully by next Friday, I will be in the 171 range (if not lower, but no pressure to lose more than 1 pound). I’m also going to continue to drink water like it’s, well, water.
I’ve pretty much exhausted my go-to sites for weight loss success stories. What sites would you recommend for me to check out so that I can stay motivated this week?
How did you do this week? I really want to know so leave me a comment!
P.P.S. Did you enter my giveaway yet? There are still very low entries & it would be a great Christmas gift for a child!
